CHALLENGE

I am not defeated
I may not have succeeded
But to not try again would be defeated
I am being tested
That is how life goes
But to know that is to realise the challenge
And in realising the challenge
We have the choice.
To accept and grow
With success or failure
Or to succumb
And admit defeat
Which is to hide within ourselves
Growing ever inward
Never outward
Where stands the eventual victory.
I am at that point of choice
And I have chosen correctly
