BUNDI OVERLANDING
RAINY SEASON 2000
WE'LL GET YOU WETWe headed out from the Cape
We were all looking in fine shape
But things got dirty and not just clothes
Our Bundi clowns did their shows
I think I remember a bit of rain
But with such fine tents who'd complain
Held together with dish soap and sticky gum
Our happy Kubu was on the run
We did the Orange, Fish, and Souffle
Hit Swakopmund in a big way
Stinkin' seals, Spitzkoppe, and Etosha game
Down to Ganeib for some serious rain
A lot more water, but it was the Delta
Blue skies, full moon, and a little bitta' Nata
Without a clutch we had extra hours
For a bit of mud and some flour showers
Everyone survived their tippy canoe
Even got to play with a baby gnu
Vic Falls was a roaring scream
Even better than a Lariam dream
Our cleaners were epic, our cookers too
Thank god for the iron man packing crew
Fifteen of twenty-one lived to tell
We lost a few, but what the hell
So cheers to me and cheers to you
